  • Responsibilities

    The Boston Medical Center and Boston University School of Medicine seek a physician to join the Section of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine to serve as a Clinical Educator at the Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor level.

     

    The primary responsibility of the candidate will be to provide inpatient and outpatient clinical services in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases at Boston Medical Center. Teaching responsibilities of this position will include precepting and mentorship of ID fellows, residents and medical students.

    Required Skills

    Preferred candidates would have significant clinical and academic experience in general infectious diseases, HIV medicine, and medical education. The division offers many opportunities to participate in travel and tropical medicine, clinical care research, care for our renal transplant patients, and quality improvement activities.

     

    Applicants must have an MD or equivalent degree, be board eligible in Infectious Diseases (certification is preferred), have demonstrated excellence in patient care and teaching.

Our research strengths include epidemiology, health services and implementation research, emerging infections, tuberculosis and global health. There are many opportunities to collaborate on projects with faculty across the institution, including the BU School of Public Health (BUSPH) and/or the National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories (NEIDL).
