  • Responsibilities

    The School of Public Health seeks a highly organized and detail oriented Senior Budget & Financial Analyst, to facilitate diverse budget planning and financial functions at the School. This person, reporting to the Director of Finance, will independently evaluate financial status of accounts by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts. Will serve as financial liaison to assist departments with travel reimbursement requests, as well as purchasing needs through the various mechanisms available at the University. The Senior Budget & Financial Analyst processes hiring requests for students and temporary employees as well as other payments to students as requested by the various departments at the School of Public Health. The Senior Budget & Financial Analyst is the subject matter expert for the SPH as it relates to all HR transactions in SAP and financial functions and is tasked with providing expert level support and training.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience required
    • Strong financial skills and understanding of financial tools and analysis preferred
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint preferred
    • Experience using financial systems preferred
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Self-organized, flexible and experience managing multiple challenging projects simultaneously
    • Team player with collaborative working style and excellent interpersonal skills
    • Experience delivering quality output in a fast-paced and fluid environment while taking accountability for own work
