ANIMAL CARE TECHNICIAN II, Lab Animal Science Center
The Animal Science Center is part of the Office of Research, a group dedicated to aiding the research community in navigating the lifecycle of their work, from finding funding to creating proposals to helping inventions find their way to the public.
The Tech II Floater position ensures quality animal care for all research animals. They maintain proper sanitization of all animal equipment, animal housing and research areas and materials. They are expected to follow institutional, local, state, federal regulations, policies and procedures to assure proper animal care, health and welfare. This is a floater position. Tech may be assigned to various facilities or campuses based on departmental needs and may work with multiple species of research animals. Flexibility in daily work environment is required.
This position is eligible for the generous tuition remission at Boston University.
Required Skills
High School diploma or GED, prior experience in an animal facility required. Demonstrated excellence as an animal care technician will be considered for promotion to this position.
