  • Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Chair of the Department and the Director of Operations, the Administrative Coordinator is responsible for coordinating a wide range of tasks critical to the Department of Chemistry. This includes the management of business before the Chair such as faculty recruitment, evaluation, and promotion; oversight of the appointment process for visiting domestic and international scholars, researchers, and postdoctoral associates; support for and coordination of Department events including visiting faculty colloquia, faculty meetings, and endowed lectures; administrative assistance and support for the Chair and faculty leadership team; and broad support for Departmental administrative tasks in collaboration with the Chair, Director, academic administrators, and financial team.

    Required Skills

    A cover letter is required for consideration.

    • Bachelor's degree and one to three years of experience required.
    • Familiarity with visa classifications and processes desirable.
