  • Responsibilities

    This position is responsible for coordinating the information technology systems to effectively support the Plant facilities.  This role will primarily support and enhance the current SAP SD module.  In addition, this role will assist in the exploration and implementation of integrated systems (SAP and non-SAP) that would benefit company business functions. 

    • Lead assigned projects as directed which may include implementation of new or enhanced functionality/process, or new system relevant to support SAP. This includes articulating requirements and translating them into high quality and effective solutions and following through with validating and documenting the solutions.
    • Identify, define, and recommend alternative business processes and/or procedural changes that improve the efficiencies of the facility.
    • Provide effective solutions to business requirements using existing SAP applications, or by recommending solutions for requirements that are not met by existing applications (may be modifications, enhancements and/or new software).
    • Work with business partners on the implications of standard or new SAP solutions that can be applied to a problem. This includes identifying needs and developing business cases
    • Conduct, coordinate and be accountable for the effectiveness of user training, Process Documentation and System testing.
    • Perform SAP configuration updates as business needs dictate.
    • Provides subject matter expertise and production support to internal business partners on an ongoing basis.
    • This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures.  This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards and laws.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

     

    Required Skills  

     

    Required Experience:

    • 5 plus years SAP configuration experience with SAP SD
    • Knowledge of the key integration points with other SAP modules (SD, FICO, MM)
    • Ability to effectively train associates and develop system documentation
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
    • Strong written and communication skills - clearly communicates objectives and practical action plans
    • Works effectively within the team and across organizational boundaries
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities of varying complexities
    • Ability to interact and influence others at various levels in the organization
    • Work is generally performed within a manufacturing plant environment, office area or in an office setting.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 15 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen.
    • Travel will be required 20% of the time to other plant facilities
