    As a Business Development Representative (BDR) you will be responsible for prospecting new business opportunities for HealthFitness, a Trustmark company, inclusive of researching target accounts, identifying contacts and cold calling into those accounts to qualify new business opportunities.  You will introduce and promote the brand, value proposition and products of HealthFitness to the identified contacts to generate appointments for the Sales Directors fueling the sales opportunity pipeline.  Consistent documentation of sales activity within Salesforce is required to provide prospecting updates.  You are a mission driven and self-motivated individual who is goal-oriented, methodical and tenacious, and can effectively interact with the Sales Directors.  Your interest in healthcare, fitness and digital health is preferred. You will advancement potential within the sales organization.

     

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Prospects target accounts identifying contacts to outreach to via high quality phone calls to introduce and generate interest in HealthFitness. Utilizes targeted and insightful questions to speak knowledgeably with contacts/decision makers, provides content and product/service information, and works with prospect to explain how product can address their needs/challenges.
    • Works with the HealthFitness Sales Director to ensure qualified account leads convert into customers by providing them timely and helpful information about prospective accounts.
    • Nurture multiple prospects simultaneously, discovering needs, offering relevant resources, and learning where they are in the buying process to help propel the sale forward.
    • Achieve weekly target lead generation performance goals.
    • Document outbound/inbound activity and maintain client accounts in customer relationship management (CRM) system (e.g., Salesforce).

     

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • 1+ years of inside sales or sales generation experience required
    • Highly personable, confident and comfortable interacting with prospects when networking, cold calling and other lead generation activities required
    • Strong communication skills over both phone and email required
    • Strong listening and comprehension skills, including the ability to identify underlying client needs and how HealthFitness’ solutions can meet them required
    • Ability to quickly and objectively evaluate the viability of new opportunities required
    • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to build effective relationships at all levels required
    • Excellent problem solving skills demonstrating persistence, adaptability and creativity required
    • Hardworking, smart, disciplined and focused required
    • Strongly self-motivated and driven while being goal-oriented, methodical and tenacious required
    • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization required
    • Authentically curious with a passion for learning required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
    • Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM required
    • BA/BS Degree preferred
    • Experience in cold calling; inclusive of researching and identifying new contacts preferred
    • Experience working in fitness, wellness or related industry strongly preferred
    • Previous leadership positions in clubs, organizations, sports team, etc preferred
    • Working knowledge of Groove, sales enablement platform, a plus

    • Some high school or equivalent experience
    • Basic computer competency
    • Knowledge of SAP
    • 1 year of on the job experience with demonstrated understanding of process flow, quality, efficiency, safety and organizational requirements in the department assigned.
