We are seeking a motivated, organized candidate to work as a research assistant in the Lewis Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Boston University, an interdisciplinary and collaborative lab focused on advanced brain imaging techniques and the neuroscience of sleep. In this role, the candidate will assist with neuroimaging research (e.g. EEG, fMRI), including patient interactions. The role will include primary activities such as:

    • recruiting and screening participants for neuroimaging studies
    • conducting complex neuroimaging studies with multiple types of data acquisition
    • administrative tasks within the lab (e.g. supply tracking, purchasing)
    • managing IRB protocols and QI tracking
    • processing and organizing neuroimaging data
    • other project assistance as needed

Our lab has a collegial, professional, and welcoming environment, and BU provides competitive benefits including tuition remission. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Please note that since our lab studies sleep, experiments sometimes take place on evenings and weekends. Our past research assistants have gone on to excellent medical and graduate school programs.

    • Ideal applicants will be flexible, resourceful, proactive, independent, and collegial.
    • Organizational skills, motivation, and attention to detail will be essential to the position.
