  • Responsibilities

     

    The Boston University Nanotechnology Innovation Center (BUnano) is an interdisciplinary collaborative research center that fosters research and education in nanoscience, nanoengineering, and nanotechnology addressing challenges in medicine, manufacturing, and energy. Learn more at bu.edu/nano-bu/. The BUnano seeks an Education Program Administrator to assist with the education program administration. This position will report to BUnano Center Director and Associate Director and help with the recruitment, mentoring, evaluation, and tracking for two fellowship programs: the NIH T32 in Translational Research in Biomaterials and the BUnano Fellowship. An incumbent in this role will also provide assistance with preparation of annual reports.

     

    As an Education Program Administrator, you will:

    • Administer fellowship and education program, serve as program liaison with faculty and students, and department administrators at College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) and College of Engineering (ENG).
    • Program and implement social networking and learning community activities, coordinate outreach events for fellows.
    • Monitor and prepare progress reports on graduate fellows. Help organize speaker events for students and prepare other tasks as needed.

     

    Required Skills

    • B.A./B.S. Degree with one to three years of experience.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Ability to take initiative, think strategically, problem solve effectively, and work well with a team.
