  • Responsibilities

    We are seeking an exceptional computational biologist/computer scientist for a research analyst position to work on a collaborative project between the Beane and Kolachalama labs in the Division of Computational Biomedicine (CBM) in the Department of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM). The analyst will work on deep learning algorithms to automate the pathological assessment of premalignant lesions using whole slide images. The histologic features can subsequently be correlated with multiomic data being generated by the Pre-Cancer Genome Atlas consortium funded by Stand Up 2 Cancer (SU2C) and the NCI Pre-Cancer Atlas. The collaborative project will provide experience with a diverse number of faculty with expertise in genomics, machine learning, and image processing techniques as well as lung biology and pathology. Expected outcomes of this research will be publications in respected peer-reviewed medical journals. 

    Required Skills

    -Bachelors required, Masters preferred -Python programming experience required -Experience with Keras, PyTorch and/or Tensorflow -Experience in image processing and computer vision-related tasks 1-3 years' work experience- required
