    STEM OUTREACH COORDINATOR, College of Engineering, Administration (6458/H0618) Tracking Code 6458/H0618 Job Description Under direction of the Assistant Dean for Outreach and Diversity, the STEM Outreach Coordinator will provide administrative support in day-to-day K-12 outreach activities with schools and nonprofit organizations in Boston. This position will coordinate teams of undergraduate students to visit K-12 schools, track progress, and ensure collaborations with schools are maintained. The position will also organize summer programs and academic year programs that will require occasional evening and weekend events. The coordinator will assist in the recruitment and selection process by advertising, collecting and organizing application materials and scheduling interviews with appropriate personnel. The position will organize events and training materials for the various outreach programs. The position will also be responsible for ordering supplies, maintaining records, and assist in the evaluation of outreach programs. Required Skills Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or Education. Experience in project management and attention to details. The ability to work independently and take initiative to anticipate and solve problems. Experience in MS Office is required and experience with social media and website development are preferable. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including public speaking. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, team player and collaborator. Ability to lift and transport materials such as large boxes. One to three years of related experience in formal or informal educational environments such as teaching, tutoring, classroom, after-school programs, and museums.
