    The vision of the Boston University Center for Antiracist Research is to build novel and practical ways to understand, explain, and tackle seemingly intractable problems of racial inequity and injustice. We convene multifaceted researchers and practitioners to foster extensive racial data collection, research-based policy innovation, solutions-focused narrative change initiatives, and practical advocacy campaigns. Together, these efforts power real-world antiracist change and impact. The BU Center for Antiracist Research was founded in 2020 by Dr. Ibram Kendi. The Center is rapidly growing and looking for hard-working individuals to join their dedicated staff.

     

    The Research Assistant conducts primary and secondary historical and empirical research for the Director's written and digital projects. As requested by the Director and/or Research Manager, completes research related to books, essays, digital content, and other outlets. The Research Assistant corresponds with external partners via email and telephone. The Research Assistant reports directly to the Research Manager. Occasionally travels to archives, events, and other locales.

     

    Required Skills

    Bachelor's Degree - Required Master's Degree - Strongly Preferred 1-3 years of relevant work experience
