    THE OPPORTUNITY & WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH: The Associate Producer is responsible for editing and presentation of WBUR's digital products, including the wbur.org website, newsletters, interactive story forms, visuals and social channels. This is a hands-on position gathering news material and writing news stories, headlines, social copy, editing photography and video and publishing them on the station's website, wbur.org and across multiple digital platforms. The major focus of this position is to edit, produce, and share content for WBUR.org in an accurate, timely and compelling manner. This job requires a thorough understanding of how to promote interactivity and audience engagement and an understanding of the mission of public radio. Must be detail-oriented, care deeply about journalistic standards, have strong news judgment, and be an excellent copy editor (AP Style is a plus). This specific digital editorial role involves primary oversight of the main digital platforms in the early morning (5 a.m. start, Mon-Fri) and works closely with other tentpole broadcast groups such as Morning Edition and Newscast. May include evening and weekend hours and filling in various other digital roles, such as platforms or newsletter editor, as assigned.

    This position is covered under the terms of a collective bargaining agreement with SAG-AFTRA. The minimum annualized salary for this position is $67,858.

    Required Skills

    Bachelor's degree with one to three years' experience OR equivalent required.
