  • Responsibilities

    The Research Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of two multi-site studies: the Biorepository, Recruitment, and Integrative Network (BBRAIN) and the Non-Exclusionary Wave of the Boston, Biorepository and Integrative Network (NEW BBRAIN) for Gulf War Illness. The Research Manager will oversee the two studies meeting planning and coordination. They will schedule cognitive, blood draws and other appointments as well as maintain test equipment for the studies. They will be in charge of ordering supplies and coordinating subject payments and travel reimbursements. They will administer neuropsychological tests and escort participants to the blood draw appointments. They will train and oversee new lab staff members including practicum and research rotation students and part-time staff members. They will plan network meetings with site study investigators and serve as a point person for the RAs at those sites. They will keep regular meeting minutes of staff meetings and coordinate and track material transfer agreements and data use agreements with investigators requesting samples and data from the study biorepositories. They will assist with developing and managing IRB and HRPO application and study protocol documents. They will liaise with other study staff, investigators and RAs to resolve operational and administrative issues and will submit invoices for payment. This individual may also conduct data analysis and literature searches, prepare abstracts, posters and manuscripts, supervise and guide research assistants, and participate in grant writing per their expertise.

    Required Skills

    Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience or equivalent.
