Auxiliary Services at Boston University is a dynamic, high-volume enterprise consisting of Undergraduate Student Housing, Graduate Student Housing, Dining Services & City Convenience Stores, Vending Services, Agganis Arena, Events & Conferences, the Fitness & Recreation Center, Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance (PERD), Parking & Transportation Services, Barnes & Noble Bookstore, and University Licensing. BU Auxiliary Services directly supports the University's academic mission and quality of campus life with an emphasis on delivering best-in-class services to our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests. BU Auxiliary Services is seeking a Business & Data Analyst to support technology operations and develop/maintain business solutions for the organization. The successful candidate must have functional knowledge in data instrumentation, data management, statistical modeling, and report writing. The Business & Data Analyst is responsible for managing data retrieval and analysis for all units within the Auxiliary Services enterprise.
Duties include organizing data points, developing and maintaining dashboards, analyzing data to discover areas of opportunity within the businesses, and communicating findings with colleagues and senior leadership. The ability to use data visualization, specifically with Power BI, to make inferences about and recommendations for the businesses is essential.
