  • Responsibilities

     

    The Trojanowska laboratory is seeking a laboratory technician to perform routine laboratory procedures and assist in research projects. The research program in Trojanowska laboratory explores mechanisms of fibrosis and vascular disease in patients with scleroderma using various experimental systems, including cell culture and mouse models.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Keeping lab up to code with safety regulation
    • Maintenance of laboratory equipment
    • Ordering laboratory supplies
    • Assisting scientists in performing research experiments
    • Performing standard laboratory techniques, including genotyping, cell culture, qPCR, western blots.

     

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Veterinary Science or related fields
    • 1-3 years of overall experience required
    • Good interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail in completing tasks
    • Ability to work within a team environment
    • Must be willing to work with mice
    • Prior experience working in a research laboratory preferred, but not essential
