  • Responsibilities

    The Assistant Fitness Manager within Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance will assist the Fitness Manager in managing all fitness and wellness operations and programming at the Fitness and Recreation Center (FitRec) and other satellite locations including the Fitness and Wellness Center (FitWell) at the Blackstone Community Center and medical campus. This individual assists the manager in overseeing the fitness departments part-time and student staff, facilities, and all programming including Group Exercise, Personal Training, Sports Performance Training, and Physical Education and Adult and Family Recreation classes. The Assistant Fitness Manager is a leadership position responsible for assisting in providing an inspirational vision for fitness and wellness programming and enriching the member experience. This requires an individual to be well informed of current and emerging trends in the industry that will meet the needs of our students, faculty, staff, alumni, members, and the community.

    Required Skills

    Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience required, Master's degree preferred.
