Boston University College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences: Sargent College is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor to join the Human Physiology Program in the Department of Health Sciences. This position is a full-time, renewable, non-tenure track position that may begin as early as January 2023 or in Fall 2023. Clinical Assistant Professors at Boston University are expected to teach, carry out scholarly activities, advise students, and participate in service. The individuals hired will teach 2-3 courses per semester, engage in research or other scholarly activities, and advise undergraduate and graduate students. The successful candidates will have the ability to teach Gross Human Anatomy and other courses in physiology and/or research which could include: Research Methodology, Clinical Trials & Industry Insights, Techniques of Scientific Presentation, Bias in Research and Medicine, Clinical ECG Interpretation, Physiology across the Lifespan, Renal Physiology, Advanced Regional Anatomy, Hypertension and/or other related/created courses.

Required Skills

Qualifications include:

• A terminal degree (PhD, MD, etc.) in a biological, physiological, or health science field is required
  • Advanced ABD (or equivalent) will also be considered
• Teaching or mentoring experience at the college/university level is required
• Interest and/or experience in undergraduate student advising is required
• Experience in academia, the life sciences industry, or medicine is preferred
• Potential to develop independent and/or collaborative scholarship at Boston University is required
