DIRECTOR, STEM OUTREACH AND DIVERSITY, College of Arts and Sciences
The Director of BU Arts & Sciences STEM Outreach provides leadership for the College of Arts & Sciences outreach efforts, supports faculty members who seek to broaden the impact of their research, and advances the Colleges commitment to improving diversity in the natural and computational sciences. In collaboration with the Associate Dean for Strategic Initiatives, this position will initiate a College-wide effort to highlight (internally and externally) the Colleges outreach efforts, improve coordination and communication, share best practices, and build networks to leverage resources, thus creating more successful collaborations and more substantial impacts. This position also is responsible for managing all operations of the Learning Resource Network (LERNet), which implements multiple programs throughout the year that encourage K-12 students to pursue STEM careers.
Duties and Responsibilities
This position also serves as Protection of Minors Coordinator for the College of Arts & Sciences. Consult with and advise faculty on Outreach efforts and proposal preparation, including:
