EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIST, Digital Learning and Innovation
The Educational Technologist joins a team dedicated to helping Boston University faculty navigate a rapidly changing technology landscape in order to help their students learn more effectively. The Educational Technologists key goal is to help a wide array of faculty effectively adopt and use the tools most appropriate for student learning outcomes and engage in educational innovation experiments, as defined within the contexts of their disciplines. Within these parameters, the Educational Technologists responsibilities may shift over time with the availability of tools and associated needs. The Educational Technology team is part of Boston University's office of Digital Learning & Innovation, whose mission is to promote and support the innovative application of digital technologies in education. The team collaborates closely with the Universities Center for Teaching and Learning and the Shipley Center for Digital Learning & Innovation, a group charged with supporting experiments and pilots that involve the use of technology in education.
Responsibilities:
Each Educational Technologist on the Educational Technology team specializes in supporting a particular set of technology tools. This technologists initial responsibilities will include supporting faculty on the purposeful use of learning analytics tools, as well as (depending on the chosen candidates prior experience) one or more of the following:
