    OVERVIEW:  Management Science Associates, Inc. (MSA) is a diversified information management company that for over half a century has given market leaders the competitive edge in data management, analytics and technology.  We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician II to become a member of the facilities team at our RockPointe location in Tarentum, PA.  In a safe, efficient and professional manner, the Maintenance Technician II will support the preventative, corrective, and general maintenance of a company owned facility.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performance of routine maintenance/repairs and service log including, but not limited to, electrical, plumbing, painting and patching of walls, installation of ceiling tiles, snow removal, etc.
    • Conducting daily building and ground inspections
    • Will maintain tools and machinery in good condition and use tools carefully and as instructed
    • Maintain building plans
    • May work as an electrician in repairing or analyzing electrical malfunctions of a minor nature and installing new equipment
    • May work as a plumber in assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and sewer systems; and in opening clogged drains
    • May work as a carpenter in the alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings, floors, doors, windows, wood fixtures, and furniture
    • May perform minor repairs to air conditioning system as required and see to general maintenance of system
    • May work moving/reconfiguring furniture and partitions

    Required Skills

    • High school diploma or equivalent.  Technical education or vocational education may substitute for up to 1 year of experience
    • Minimum 3 years of general maintenance experience
    • Advanced knowledge of standard maintenance concepts, practices, and procedures
    • Advanced knowledge of various types of equipment used in the building trades
    • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, construction, and air conditioning concepts and equipment
    • Must be able to read/interpret technical drawings and/or blueprints involved in day to day facility activities
    • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements
    • General computer skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Maintains strong and productive customer relations and interpersonal skills
    • Able to quickly grasp mechanical processes
    • Able to think logically
    • Ability to analyze maintenance issues

    Required Experience
