The Research Technician in the Cardiovascular Institute supports research projects under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The technician will assist with very basic lab techniques (supervised by PI and other lab members) and basic lab maintenance. The technician will also assist with maintaining mouse colonies, including ordering mice for this purpose, following already available protocols in Dr. Ravid’s lab. The technician will run basic techniques, such as PCR or Western blotting, or cell labeling; all in a supervised manner (by the PI or senior lab member). The technician will maintain lab equipment and safety protocols in the laboratory. The technician will help as needed with ordering supplies used by self or others.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree with 0-12 months of related experience.
