  • Responsibilities

    The Boston University Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases Policy & Research (CEID, pronounced like 'seed') seeks a Communications and Outreach Associate to assist in monitoring and executing communications strategies across media relations, digital media, email marketing and stakeholder outreach. The mission of the Center is to improve societal resilience against the threat of emerging and epidemic infectious diseases worldwide through research, capacity strengthening, training, and advocacy. Reporting to the Director of the Center for Emerging Infectious Diseases Response, the Communications & Outreach Associate helps develop and manage the Center's overall strategic communications and outreach programs. The position is responsible for overseeing all content related to the Center's public communications and related schedule, including website and social media. Additionally, the position is the Centers first point of contact for external and internal audiences.

    Required Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, PR or related field, and 5-8 years of work experience is required
    • Master's degree preferred
    • Ability to complete assigned projects and tasks independently
    • Strong writing and editing skills
