    Child Care Attendant

    Walton Life Fitness Center

    20-24 hours per week: ** M-TH 4pm-8pm, and Saturday 8am-12:30pm**

    Walton Life Fitness Center, managed by HealthFitness has some new opportunities for Child Care Attendant. As a Child Care Attendant, you will be responsible for safe and fun play with children who are in the facility and support the Youth Activity Coordinator in facility supervision and direct youth program and service delivery.

    What you will do:

    • Supervises Youth Activity Center areas; interacts with parents and children and monitors facilities and participant safety.
    • Greeting and interacting with parents and following up regarding the needs of the children.
    • Observe and play with children, ensuring that the children in their care are safe and engaged in developmental activities.
    • Participate in child’s activities (e.g., reading, painting, crafts, play, etc.).
    • Sanitize toys and play equipment.
    • Other duties as needed/assigned.

    What you will bring:

    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Current OSHA compliant Adult/Infant/Child First Aid & CPR/AED certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety & Health Institute or National Safety Counsel is required prior to start.
    • Knowledge and experience with young children is strongly preferred.
    • Experience in customer service preferred.
    • Ability to multi-task as well as work quickly and accurately.
    • Computer proficiency including at minimum Microsoft Word and Outlook.

  • Qualifications
    • 10+ years of experience in related field is preferred. 
    • Protein processing background is the preferred
    • Experience in food plant utility systems and manufacturing equipment. 
    • Capital project management experience. 
    • Knowledge of USDA poultry and meat further processing and packaging will be a plus
    • BA/BS or equivalent is preferred.
    • Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role). 
    • Work conditions are typical of an office & plant environment. 
    • This role requires 50% domestic travel. 
    • Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds 
    • Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring. 
    • Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Less than 4 hours
