    SUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE


    The System Integration Analyst serves as a link between software developers and business requirements for system integration for projects and production support. This position interacts with Business Analysts, Business SMEs, developers, and vendors to understand requirements and provide configuration solutions that meet business needs and fit the architectural design / technology capabilities. Solution delivery includes developing mapping documents for developer use, building configuration tables, and supporting developers and QA team in delivering software to meet the specifications. Attention to detail and quality are critical for this position.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Apply technical and domain knowledge to design new data structures, create/maintain mapping documents, and provide insight / oversight to junior team members or peers for mapping and data design solutions.
    • Design and document complex integration & functional technical specifications and implement related configurations.
    • Engage with architecture team to gather input on designs.
    • Suggest new methods and approaches for data integration across the division.
    • Support existing run processes (business support, maintenance, break fix, error handling)
    • Work with developers throughout the development process, from design through QA testing, to ensure they have a thorough understanding of the mapping requirements and data design.
    • Support delivery by assisting development and test team activities and supporting deployment activities.
    • Increase knowledge over time to gain full understanding of integrations for the division.
    • Use knowledge of many divisional data domains to consciously incorporate data requirements into the ecosystem for use, reuse, and supportability.
    • Seek opportunities to improve and maintain data quality.
    • Other duties as needed/assigned.

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 – 4 years of related experience OR High School Diploma or GED with 4 – 6 years of related experience.
    • Experience with multiple data formats (examples: SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL, flat files, xml, json, noSQL (document, key value, etc.))
    • Experience assessing requirements and delivering data design or complex data mapping solutions
    • Experience with query tools
    • Ability to work in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment across multiple initiatives
    • Willingness to display strong commitment to teamwork and work in a collaborative environment
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Strong problem-solving skills
    • Ability to effectively cope with a change and adjust accordingly
    • Ability to work independently and organize own work
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred

    • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 – 6 years of related experience OR High School Diploma or GED with 6-8 years of related experience.
    • Experience with a large variety of data formats (examples: SQL Server, DB2, PostgreSQL, flat files, xml, json, noSQL (document, key value, etc.))
    • Proficient at using query tools
    • Development experience a plus
    • Insurance experience a plus

     Basic computer competency • Knowledge of SAP • Knowledge of KPI is a plus • 1 year of on the job experience with demonstrated understanding of process flow, quality, efficiency, safety and organizational requirements in the department assigned.
