    The Department of Chemistry at Boston University invites applications from outstanding candidates for the position of Lecturer starting July 1, 2020. This position requires a Ph.D. in Chemistry, with a preference for candidates who have substantial experience in teaching organic chemistry. Duties include lecturing in the two-semester organic chemistry for majors and non-majors courses, as well as the Principles of Organic Chemistry service course. Candidates with an interest in developing innovative pedagogical approaches in organic chemistry instruction are especially encouraged to apply. The initial appointment for this position is for 2-years and is renewable based on satisfactory performance.

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or related field preferred
    • Work is generally performed within a plant manufacturing environment, office area.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, bend, walk, use hands or finger, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, or controls; may be required to lift up to 15 pounds. Vision abilities include close vision to a computer screen as well subjected to temperatures of cold and warm along with wearing the proper PPE.
