  • Responsibilities

    This position will be a key contributor in the advancement of attracting and promoting diverse talent to Boston University. The Recruitment Specialist will tap into new sourcing resources and utilize proactive techniques to recruit high value candidates. They will provide direct service to assigned hiring managers and HR Liaisons to identify and engage applicants to build and manage pipelines for current and future staffing needs. They will support the recruitment process for assigned business and academic units which includes sourcing candidates, diversity initiatives, evaluating applicant resumes, assessing candidates, coordinating and interviewing, making salary recommendations and negotiating offers. Recruitment Specialists will collaborate with the Staffing and Onboarding teams to deliver an overall positive candidate experience to support the University's talent recruitment strategy.

    Required Skills

    • Ability to build and maintain meaningful relationships.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Fluency in web-based recruiting tools, including social media and job boards, and applicant tracking systems.
    • Effective problem solving critical thinking skills.
    • Proven experience in sourcing and recruiting high quality candidates at all levels with a focus on sustained pipeline development and sourcing.
    • Demonstrated ability to operate as part of a collaborative team.
    • Knowledge of HR processes and HR legal compliance.

     

    1-2 years of professional level experience in recruiting and/or sourcing. Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of training, education, and relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Familiarity with Silkroad Recruiting and SAP, project management and process deployment expertise is desirable.
