OMBA Learning Facilitator, Questrom School of Business
The Online MBA (OMBA) program at Boston University’s Questrom School of Business is an innovative program (launched in the Fall semester 2020) to bring an integrated graduate business curriculum to a global learning community at scale. With a global population of learners, and enrollment exceeding 1200 online MBA students by fall 2021 (with further growth planned), the Learning Facilitator is a critical and valuable member of the teaching team. As a result, the successful Learning Facilitator will need to possess a willingness and aptitude to effectively work in a fast-pace virtual enrollment (regardless of time zone or location) with students, faculty and staff positioned across multiple geographies.
The OMBA curriculum is delivered in six rigorous modules (“MODs”), each providing 7.5 graduate class, plus a non-credit orientation module (Mod 0). Each credit-based module comprises content from two or more business disciplines/functions and delivered by multiple faculty:
Each module also includes an integrated learning experience designed to instill an appreciation of business as a holistic endeavor rather than a collection of functional silos. These integrated experiences and the holistic design of the OMBA Program require coordination among the faculty teaching in each MOD. The experience also requires the coordination and collaboration of many teams including faculty, learning facilitators, learning designers, and student success specialists.
