    This exciting opportunity is with a five-year federally funded project offering a therapeutic intervention for young children who have parents with an opioid use or substance use disorder. The intervention, entitled BRIGHT Building Resilience through Intervention: Growing Healthier Together, aims to mitigate the impact of trauma for the young children and parents, improve parenting capacities and the parent-child relationship. BRIGHT will be offered through a specialty pediatric medical home at Boston Medical Center. The evaluation coordinator will work with the Principal Investigator to complete all process and outcome evaluation activities. The position is full time, grant funded, through Boston University and includes the university tuition remission benefits. Organize, manage and coordinate the evaluation study (reports to the PI)

    • Primary responsibility for handling day-to-day administrative and management issues, data collection including liaising with clinical staff and interviewing participants, data monitoring and safety, tracking and reporting adverse events
    • Develop and manage study databases
    • Prepare applications, amendments and revisions for Institutional Review Boards (IRB)
    • Purchasing needed supplies and equipment
    • Conduct literature reviews, organize, summarize and report findings
    • Basic data analysis and preparation of research reports and presentations; liaison with statistician
    • Liaison with clinicians and clinical supervisor for the purpose of data collection and fidelity.

    Required Skills

    • MA, MSW, MPH (public health, psychology, child development, social work, etc) with 1+ years of experience
    • Valid drivers license
    • Excellent written and oral communications and organizational abilities
    • Proficiency with MS Office applications, database systems (e.g. REDcap, Excel), and database development
    • Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative analytical software preferred (e.g. SAS, SPSS, R, NVivo)
    • Previous IRB experience preferred
    • Team Work and Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to interact respectfully with study participants, other employees, professional staff and/or external contacts from a wide range of social, racial and ethnic populations to offer ideas, identify issues and obtain information.
    • Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality of all personal/health sensitive information
