    WBUR, a powerhouse non-profit public media brand with a commitment to serving the public, reporting the truth, and enriching our community is seeking a creative, motivated Sales Associate to support the efforts of the Business Partnerships teams advertising sales efforts.

     

    The Sales Associate will have the opportunity to learn and hone the skills necessary to be successful in today’s fast-paced advertising world while supporting a world class sales team in a purpose-driven entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in advertising sales (either in media/publisher sales or on advertising agency media planning or buying teams) with an interest in non-profit broadcast, digital, and event media. They will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail and a willingness to support the team with both creative projects, day to day tasks, and basic administrative duties. They will be responsible for daily management of advertising campaigns for the Business Partnerships Sales team including supporting the Account Executives and Business Partnerships Management Team.

     

    Essential Functions:

    • Responsible for daily management of client services for the Business Partnerships Sales team including supporting the Account Executives and Business Partnerships Management Team. Oversee the general account activity for all accounts including helping oversee the operation of the traffic system (Wide Orbit) for the Business Partnerships Sales team in being the primary originator of all contract materials as well as with the creation of schedules, custom department and client reports, discrepancy resolution, copy creation and maintenance, annual budget projections reports and spot times. Responsible for recurring revenue summaries and client reports as well as advertising campaign reporting and overseeing departmental operations via reporting, helping with orders, copy, schedules, and post-buy analysis. Also includes creating required deliverables for advertising campaigns and maintaining accurate sponsorship materials and availability. Help manage the Efficio sales contact management system.
    • Work on special projects as needed for the Executive Director of Business Partnerships, Department Managers, and Account Executives. Support the Executive Director of Business Partnerships through assisting with scheduling and maintenance of daily calendar as well as report development and associated administrative tasks. Liaise with WBUR departments including AdOps, Business Office, Marketing, Traffic and Membership.
    • Managing Research reporting from various audience and advertising systems to support the sales efforts of the Business Partnerships team. Help the team create sales materials related to this research and additional sales materials as needed.
    • Collaborate with the Development, Business Partnerships, and Finance teams to coordinate the auction for WBUR’s annual Gala at all stages of the process.

    Required Skills

    Bachelor's degree or relevant experience required. Must have at least one to three years of work experience.
