The successful candidate will join a vibrant research team of postdoctoral scientists and students in the laboratory of Dr. David Harris. The group uses a wide variety of biochemical, cell biological, genomic/proteomic, biophysical, and imaging techniques to decipher how abnormal protein aggregates in the brain cause degeneration of nerve cells and their connections, leading to devastating neurological disorders like Alzheimer’s disease, and how these can be treated. The job will entail laboratory maintenance duties, cell culture, mouse colony husbandry, and performing biochemical and cell biological experiments. This job is an ideal opportunity for a recent graduate seeking a period of research experience prior the next step in their career path, as well as for an experienced research technician seeking an exciting new position in a disease-relevant area that would allow them to expand their array of laboratory skills.
