  • Responsibilities

    We seek a candidate who is passionate about joining our growing Online MBA team. The Production Assistant (PA) plays an important role in the preparation for and delivery of live broadcast class sessions for the Questrom School of Business Online MBA program. The PA maintains studio equipment for peak performance, runs equipment during the broadcast, and trains and supervises the student production team. This role operates in a professional office environment, as well as in broadcast studios and production booths. This is a part-time (50%) role.

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • End to end technical production management
    • Leading the setup, wiring and operation of high resolution audio visual equipment, computers for video playback, screen switchers, video switchers, GFX computers and based video recording devices if required
    • Leading and executing various events and production schedules at any one time
    • Providing on-site technical supervision, coordinating bump in and bump out, show operations and labor management
    • Working closely with the Production Manager to bring events to life
    • Keeping abreast with industry trends

    Required Skills

    • 4-year college degree preferred
    • 5+ years of work experience
    • Outstanding customer service mentality
    • Strong technical knowledge of entertainment equipment and systems, as well as broadcast platforms (e.g., ON24, INXPO, WebEx, Zoom, GoToMeeting, vMix, BlueJeans, etc.).
    • Outstanding organization skills with the ability to lead multiple concurrent projects.
    • Work independently while also being team oriented - Experience running technical aspects of virtual events across the corporate sector, from large-scale conferences to intimate networking and breakout sessions
    • Experience leading teams of staff/crewing including but not limited to video, projection, staging, rigging, AV teams Strong project management skills
    • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills. Able to think critically and on your feet and lead multiple projects at the same time!
    • Flexible, dependable, detail orientated, innovative, motivated and enthusiastic about delivering exceptional events
    • Knowledge of graphics programs (e.g., Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects) and productivity software (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel)

     

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Given the various times of live broadcasts, working early mornings and late nights will be required.
    • Ability to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
    • Be able to climb ladders up to 20 feet tall and work in small spaces and on uneven surfaces.
    • Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
