    TEAM DESCRIPTION The Merchandising Teams holds the line from execution of initial concepts and seasonal strategies to the finalized and curated product assortments. This team partners with Design, Merchandise Financial Planning, Global Sourcing, and Business partners to maximize profitability while staying true to the EILEEN FISHER brand vision.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Associate Merchandiser will support the development of merchandising plans and strategies that support all channels to achieve financial targets and expectations for the company.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist in development of product based on excess materials, responding to emerging market trends and financial goals in collaboration with Sales and Design
    • Manage style set up and data maintenance in partnership with Design Ops and Global Sourcing ensuring accuracy as these output to many key systems and cross-functional teams
    • Coordinate with Design Ops, Global Sourcing, and Sales/Buying teams to ensure timely execution of excess inventory strategies
    • Work closely with Global Sourcing and Planning to optimize inventory movement and ensure real-time visibility of utilization
    • Create and maintain reporting to aid in product analysis in order to maximize business opportunities both in-season and during planning phase
      • Prepare liquidation scenario models to determine strongest strategy recommendation to clear aged, excess inventory – determining best decision for the company on which Channel should take advantage of the opportunity
    • Responsible for pricing and maintenance within PLM system of assigned products
    • Assist in curation and assortment of Company Store Exclusives (Customer Favorites & Cut-ups) and create tools (pull color swatches, recommend best-selling styles, create boards to pitch sale) that support buying teams
    • Assist in curation and assortment of Petite and Plus divisions and create tools that support Sales and Buying teams
    • Assist in preparation for all presentations of each collection to internal partners throughout the season.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree preferred

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • 3-5 years of related experience in the retail or wholesale apparel industry.
    • High level of experience and proficiency in Excel
    • Proficiency in other Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Excellent analytical and mathematical proficiency with strong business and financial analysis skills
    • Ability to work in a collaborative environment
    • Ability to prioritize and handle competing priorities
    • Strong attention to detail
  • Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience required. Candidates should have an interest in public health and/or clinical research. Specific interest in substance use disorders is a plus. Application must include a cover letter to be considered.

    • Ability to work independently and be a good problem-solver.
    • Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (i.e. MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and web browsers.
