  • Responsibilities

    The Pulmonary Center is currently seeking a Project Manager to oversee multiple NIH/NIAID pediatric and asthma/allergy research studies. The project manager (PM) is responsible for day-to-day clinical oversight and operational management of multiples studies and should have an in-depth knowledge of ICH/GCP regulatory guidelines, as well as experience managing research teams. In addition, the project manager will be responsible for institutional IRB submissions, budget review and oversight, AE/SAE reporting, vendor identification/management, regulatory submissions, and hiring/evaluating research staff. The project manager will also train staff in all study related activities, and provide QC monitoring/feed-back on a monthly basis. In addition, the PM will also prepare for and execute sponsor and institutional study start-up, interim, and close-out monitoring visits. The PM acts as the main liaison between the coordinating center, sponsor, BUMC IRB, and investigational pharmacy, and must work across all functional lines to ensure all project deliverables are met. The ideal candidate will have experience with recruitment/enrollment, and feel comfortable presenting recruitment/enrollment data to the sponsor/coordinating center and PI on a regular basis.

    Required Skills

    Candidates must have a masters degree OR Bachelor degree with prior experience in research management and oversight. Candidates must also be able/willing to work afternoons/evenings and occasional Saturday mornings.
