  • Responsibilities

    The Assistant Director, Photography, reporting to the Executive Managing Director, Creative Services, manages the daily operational, logistical, workflow, systems and administrative functions of Boston Universitys Photography department. Works closely with both the Executive Managing Director and divisions administrative personnel to manage the operations and logistics related to the budget. Collaborates with the Assistant Directors of Interactive Design and Print Design, and the Executive Managing Director and other appropriate staff to ensure that Photography is effectively integrated into all Creative Services projects. Oversees, manages and works to improve departments operational systems including Cumulus, the Universitys digital asset management system and the departments billing database.

    Required Skills

    B.S./B.A degree or equivalent. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks with conflicting priorities. Strong interpersonal/communication skills. Attention to detail, efficiency, and excellent follow-through skills. Knowledge of database systems, i.e. Cumulus or other database asset management systems preferred. Willingness to learn and adapt to new and changing technology and software. Ability to use new or customized software applications quickly and effectively. 5-8 years' experience.
