  • Responsibilities

    The Research Specialist will actively participate in the execution and evaluation of volunteer participants in a non-invasive cardiac research program at the Framingham Heart Study (FHS.) Perform measurements such as ECG, anthropometry and venipuncture (training provided) on study participants and administer questionnaires. Review charts, keep logs, maintain protocol adherence, prepare reports and attend staff meetings. Provide clinical and administrative support to ensure quality and consistency of exam operations at FHS. Research Specialist must have a friendly affect and be comfortable working with study participants. Position is located in Framingham, MA. Schedule is Monday-Friday. Hours must be flexible based on participant need, start 7:30-9:00am, end 3:30-5:00pm. Occasional Saturdays required. May be required to conduct offsite examinations at participants homes. 

    Required Skills

    Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related science field with some knowledge of medical terminology is required.
