Senior Lecturer, College of Arts and Sciences, World Languages & Literatures
Boston University’s DEPARTMENT OF WORLD LANGUAGES & LITERATURES invites applications for a renewable full-time Senior Lecturer (non-tenure track) in Russian and pre-modern East Slavic literature beginning July 1, 2023. The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include teaching six courses per academic year in Russian literature and culture, medieval and modern, Comparative literature, immigrant literature, translation studies, and with one course in the CAS Core Curriculum, a liberal arts learning community for undergraduates whose shared undertaking is to discuss great works that meet the challenge of our present moment. The candidate will be expected to contribute to BU’s Comparative Literature program and the department’s MA program in literary translation in developing curriculum and collaborating closely with faculty across the various programs of the College of Arts & Sciences.
Required Skills
Requirements include an PhD in medieval East Slavic literature or a related field; native or near-native command of Russian and English; and experience teaching at the University level in a North American setting.
