  • Responsibilities

    The Microarray and Sequencing Resource at Boston University School of Medicine seeks a research technician. The Resource is an active core facility that performs microarray-based and next generation sequencing experiments for a large number of research groups at Boston University and other institutions. The responsibilities will include RNA/DNA sample processing and data acquisition for microarray and sequencing analysis and routine maintenance of the Core equipment. The successful candidate will be a highly responsible individual with great attention to detail, capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and working independently, precisely following molecular biology protocols and processing large number of samples.

    Required Skills

    • Previous laboratory experience and familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques are required.
    • Previous experience with microarray or next generation sequencing technology and Linux is not required, but helpful.
    • A BA or BS in biology, biochemistry or other life science discipline and basic computer skills are required.
    • 1-3 years of experience required.
