The Front Desk Assistant ensures smooth operation of the school by providing service to clients during school visits, encouraging the sale of retail products and services to clients and teaching students how to utilize Millennium salon software. Responsibilities of this position may include: * Understand the procedures used in the school and perform them consistently. * Understand product information and service information.

• Understand the importance of making the client feel welcome, comfortable, and special. * Answer phone and take appointments using proper procedure. * Clean desk, stock & dust shelves daily/weekly depending on what is needed. Clean reception area and straighten magazines and books. * Monitor quarterly incompletes/summer outs * Manage test out process (test review, recording results and student notification. Qualifications Ideal candidates possess the following qualities: * Student-centered philosophy in support of academic excellence * Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on quick response time * Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills * Demonstrated ability to learn and use necessary technology quickly and adeptly * Adaptability; able to succeed in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment * Passion and enthusiasm for discipline and/or area of profession Requirements of this position include: * High School Diploma/GED * Minimum of 1-2 years of customer service experience * Knowledge of office practices, including experience with Microsoft Office * Experience in the cosmetology setting a plus * Position is a mix of daytime and evening hours. Mon, Fri daytime. Tues, Wed, Thurs, evening.
