    This is a part time remote, work-from-home position. We will consider applicants that reside in the following states: Arizona, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Missouri, Nevada, Texas and Utah. ** __**

    Pay: $40 per hour

    Qualified applicants may be asked to complete a sample project to showcase their knowledge and skills. Additional consideration goes to applicants that submit a portfolio with their application. An ideal portfolio includes examples of work within an online higher education setting along with a simple description of the work.

    This position will typically work on projects requiring 5-10 hours per week, not to exceed 19 hours per week.

    Position Summary of the Part Time Skilled Trades Instructional Designer:

    The Part-Time Skilled Trades Instructional Designer will design industry-leading and scalable learning experiences, while using adult learning science methodologies to improve learner engagement and persistence for a skilled trades audience. This position must be well versed in problem solving, needs and learner analysis, management and execution of curriculum and programmatic projects, effective evaluation and feedback methods, and adult learning theory.

    The Part-Time Skilled Trades Instructional Designer will actively participate in this vision through ensuring that Bryan University’s graduates are prepared with the relevant knowledge and practical, productive skills through designing advanced curriculum which leads directly to high-demand professional careers.

    Responsibilities of the Skilled Trades Instructional Designer:

    • Design and deliver Skilled Trades program curriculum.
    • Build short, 10-12 hour micro-credentials for healthcare skilled trades using Brightspace.
    • Use evidence-based strategies from instructional design, educational technology, and cognitive science to design experiences that lead to learner success.
    • Develop authentic assessments designed for experience-based application of course outcomes or competencies.
    • Collaborate and communicate with program directors, key stakeholders, subject matter experts, team members, staff, faculty, students, and external vendors to create learning experiences which produce confidently capable and work-force ready individuals.
    • Contribute to an open, inventive, highly-collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements of the Part Time Skilled Trades Instructional Designer:

    • 3+ years in online instructional/curriculum design.
    • 2+ years of instructional design experience in Brightspace LMS Required.
    • Experience in corporate training or skilled trades preferred
    • Proven ability to design unique, engaging learning experiences and assessments ( include examples of this on your resume ).
    • Proven track record for being a dynamic communicator and facilitator with a focus on student-centered, adaptive development.
    • Demonstrated ability to utilize creative pedagogical and technological techniques.
    • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and online learning technologies.
    • Ability to work in a virtual environment using multiple software programs simultaneously including MS Office programs, Gmail, Zoom, etc.
    • Ability to sit or stand for four to six hours.
