POSITION: The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Kriner Cash, is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of: PROJECT ADMINISTRATOR (STAFF DEVELOPER) EARLY CHILDHOOD ENRICHMENT PROGRAM (ECEP) QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold a Masters degree and have a current New York State certification in one of the following areas: Elementary Education or Literacy, and a New York State School District Leader (SDL), or School Building Leader (SBL) Certificate. Candidates must have three years of teaching and/or coaching experience in an urban school district. Candidates must participate in Professional Learning Opportunities as instructed by the Chief Academic Officer and the Supervisor of Education. In evaluating each candidates qualifications, preference will be given to the candidates coursework and experiences in the areas of curriculum development, data analysis, and creation and delivery of professional development. The candidate must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and demonstrate leadership and interpersonal communication skills with adults. Proficiency in the use of technology and knowledge of the Common Core Standards and assessments are also preferred. Please upload a copy of your NYS certification(s). DUTIES: The Staff Developer will be charged with working under the Supervisor of Elementary Education to facilitate curriculum development, conduct professional development, and provide program support for the ECEP. Job responsibilities will include: * Working collaboratively with curriculum committees and administrators in the Office of Instruction to develop curriculum for the ECEP. * Working collaboratively with the Office of Instruction to create professional development for the ECEP. * Working with the Division of Staff Development to coordinate professional development for the ECEP. * Working with TOSA's and school-based coaches to train and support teachers in the implementation of the ECEP. Includes working with building staff to identify areas for improvement, as well as planning and adjusting instruction based on the data. * Conducting model lessons to demonstrate important techniques. * Facilitating and conducting grade level meetings and other collaborative sessions with teachers. * Determining needs, budgeting, ordering and maintaining inventory of ECEP materials. * Articulating and demonstrating familiarity with District goals and initiatives. * Working collaboratively with District screening team to disseminate and analyze data. * Participating in such meetings as directed by supervisor. * Performs such other duties and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned or arise due to the nature of the position. APPOINTMENT: Appointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, credentials and evaluation of service.
