  • Responsibilities

    The CTE Retention and Completion Specialist serves as the primary point of registrar contact for all Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs. This role supports students, faculty, and staff by managing graduation applications, major changes, and other student record-related processes. The coordinator ensures compliance with institutional policies and provides excellent customer service for all CTE-related inquiries.

    Key Responsibilities:

    CTE Graduation Applications (30%)

    • Review graduation audits.
    • Process and review CTE graduation applications to ensure completeness and accuracy.
    • Serve as the main point of contact for students regarding graduation requirements.

    Major Changes & Student Records (25%)

    • Manage student requests for change of major within CTE programs.
    • Maintain accurate student records and update information in the student information system.

    Student & Staff Support (20%)

    • Respond to student and staff inquiries about CTE programs, graduation requirements, and academic records.
    • Guide students navigating CTE program requirements.

    Collaboration & Reporting (15%)

    • Work closely with faculty, advisors, and other departments to ensure accurate tracking of student progress and program completion.
    • Prepare reports and assist with compliance requirements for CTE programs.

    Office of the Registrar Tasks (10%)

    • Support general registrar functions related to CTE programs, including data entry, record maintenance, and other operational tasks.

    Qualifications:

    • Experience in academic advising, student services, or registrar functions preferred.
    • Knowledge of Career and Technical Education programs and graduation requirements.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across departments.
    • Proficiency with student information systems and office software.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
    • Excellent customer service skills, interacting effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
    • Ability to analyze and solve problems independently.
