    Clinical Assistant Professor

    The School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science **** at the University of Montana invites applications for a **Clinical Assistant Professor, **non-tenure track position, to provide teaching, scholarship, and service within the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Expectations for this position include teaching, scholarship, service, and clinical practice as commensurate with rank and a commitment to advancing the mission of our Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Candidates will be able to teach within content areas for which they qualify and where need exists. Projected teaching needs include but are not limited to portions of neuromuscular physical therapy, integrated clinical education, clinical medicine, and foundational skills. We seek candidates who demonstrate initiative and an ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, clinicians, and others with diverse backgrounds. This position consists of an academic year (10-month) appointment.

    Position Details

    Title: Clinical Assistant Professor
    Position Type: Non-Tenure track in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program- The School of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science

    Schedule: Full time academic year (10 months) ****
    Salary: $75,000 to $79,000

    Required Qualifications

    • Hold or be eligible for PT licensure in Montana
    • Earned academic doctorate or DPT
    • Three (3) years of clinical experience
    • Didactic teaching experience
    • Experience with web-based and software technologies
    • Strong communication, supervisory, and organizational skills
    • Able to contribute scholarship commensurate with rank
    • Able to contribute service commensurate with rank

    Preferred Qualifications

    • ABPTS Board Certified Neurologic Specialist (NCS)
    • Earned academic doctorate or willing to pursue a terminal academic degree
    • Evidence of excellence in clinical instruction in a 4:1 model
    • Evidence of engagement in professional organizations such as APTA
