    Camelot Education is excited about continuing partnerships with the Chicago Public Schools on the south side of Chicago. Our accelerated programs address the growing problem of overage under credit and at risk high school students. Students range from grades 9-12, and are supported by a team of professionals that include leadership positions, credentialed teachers and behavior management professionals. We are recruiting creative, compassionate, caring educators to join our staff, eager to help our students excel academically and achieve post-secondary success.

    We are currently accepting applications for a SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKER to rotate between our 4 excel school campuses in Chicago for the 2020-2021 school year (and beyond)!

    The Social Worker is responsible for utilizing leadership, advocacy, and collaboration to promote student success; provide preventative services, and respond to identified student needs by implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that addresses academic, career, and personal/social development for all students in accordance with the goals and objectives of Camelot Education.

    The major functions of the Social Worker are to incorporate the State and School District Board of Education’s priorities of school performance and provide students’ with a supportive and safe atmosphere. The Social Worker position will assist in the daily functioning of the school, assist in creating and maintaining school district contacts, handle students in crisis, and obtain and be familiar with outside resources to assist students.

    Camelot Education is a nationally recognized organization providing educational services to children and adolescents throughout the United States. Camelot has over 40 campuses located in six states and is continuing to grow. Camelot provides Alternative Education services to inner city schools for children who have dropped out of school, been expelled or at risk for either.

    • Current ISBE Social Worker Certification
    • Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree preferred) in Educational Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology from an accredited college or university.
    • Experience in a district counseling/support services involved educational management, administration, and/or support services preferred.
    • Experience working in a school or alternative education setting preferred
    • Knowledge of state standards
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Proven ability and working knowledge with Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
