    ** Assistant Athletic Director – Strategic Communications

    **JOB DESCRIPTION:
    ** Cameron University, an NCAA Division II member of the Lone Star Conference, is seeking an Assistant Athletic Director – Strategic Communications. This position is responsible for the overall direction, management, and supervision of the Strategic Communications Department. Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Assistant Athletic Director – Strategic Communications will serve as a member of the Athletic Department’s senior staff and will support the department’s mission, vision, and core values, through strategic and creative messaging. This is a 12-month, full-time position with benefits.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Brand awareness and enhancement
    • Maintain social media presence and manage social media platforms
    • Website design, maintenance, and updates
    • Sports information game day duties and operations
    • Utilization of statistical programs (Stat Crew, Live Stats)
    • Hire and manage multiple graduate assistant and student worker positions

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree. Masters degree preferred
    • College, graduate assistant or high school sports information, marketing, or social media experience
    • Skilled in graphic design (Adobe Suite)
    • Strong understanding of statistical programs
    • Basic understanding of photography
    • Ability to work and create content for all social media platforms
    • Excellent writing skills
    • Attention to detail and effective time management skills
