    This position is responsible to assess the health status of patients, students, and persons supported within the Children's Residential location at Children’s Services in accordance with the organization’s Mission and Core Values, utilizing Person-Centered Practices. SOME OF THE TASKS OUR NURSES COMPLETE INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: 

    • Assists Registered Nurses (LPN’s)
    • Administers medications/Enteral feedings
    • Provides Respiratory care/support
    • Serves as the primary nurse within a specific unit
    • Provides Respiratory care/support
    • Assists support staff (LPN’s)
    • Analyzes clinical information (RN’s)
    • Educates/teaches staff, families, patients, students, and persons supported
    • Promotes health and safety

    Required Skills Required Experience

    REGISTERED NURSE: A graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program is required. A valid South Dakota RN Licensure required. Any prior nursing or direct care experience is preferred. LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE: A graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required. A valid South Dakota LPN Licensure is required. Any prior nursing and direct care experience is preferred.

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Good interpersonal and customer-service skills, with ability to establish collaboration
    • Detail oriented, highly organized, and ability to handle multiple tasks and tight deadlines
    • Well versed in project management and time management
    • Ability to accept new techniques and procedures quickly and integrate with daily job functions
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
    • Advanced knowledge of ESRI GIS software products
    • Experience facilitating meetings, presenting to the public/public officials and stakeholders, and formulating recommendations through written reports
    • Experience coordinating corridor plans, master plans, urban design plans, and similar planning studies; complete streets, and/or other walkable urban districts
    • Experience with project schedule development and tracking
    • Experience working with diverse stakeholders (elected officials, all levels of government, technical staff, interest groups, etc.)
    • Experience in detailed collection and analysis of data
    • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and/or other certifications from allied professions desired
    • Experience in staff supervision desired
