LifeScape is seeking an interested candidate to join our dynamic and collaborative team as a Behavior Specialist supporting children within an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF). KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

_PROVIDE BEHAVIOR THERAPY SERVICES _

• Assist with functional behavior assessment and functional analyses
• Assist in the development of Behavior Plans
• Implement Behavior Guidelines and Behavior Plans & interventions, utilizing sound judgement and seek out appropriate consultation from the Behavior Analyst.
• Collect and enter Behavior Plan data and monitor data collection by other staff
• Provide leadership and training during the management of maladaptive behaviors
• Update and maintain data collection systems
• Collaborate with the ICF and education interdisciplinary team
• Provide initial and ongoing staff education and training on behavior and skill acquisition protocols
• Regularly provide positive and constructive feedback to staff regarding clinical & professional skills
• Collect data accurately and document within the Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and within other software programs, used by the department/organization
• Establish and maintain rapport with persons supported and co-workers

Required Skills Required Experience

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED equivalency is required.  Must be 18 years of age or older. Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT®) as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) required.  NOTE: successful completion of RBT training, certification and maintenance of certification required within 45 days of starting. Two years of completed coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or related fields and/or prior experience working with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities, and challenging behaviors is preferred.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2+ years’ experience in Debt Collections
• Effective communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task in a production driven environment
• Must be comfortable navigating between multiple computer screens and systems
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Must be 18 years of age or older
