    Intern for Ministry in Spiritual Life Job Title: Ministry Intern Department: Spiritual Life in Student Life Reports To: Dean for Spiritual Life and Campus Minister Status: Part Time, Temporary (One Year Contract Beginning June 1st, 2018) S ummary : Along with the Spiritual Life staff, the Ministry Intern works to provide the University community with opportunities to connect with God, to develop Christian community, and to nurture the spiritual life of the university community in corporate endeavors as well as personal and individual means. This position will work 25-29 hours per week between the hours 8am and 5pm. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with the planning, training and implementation of mission trips. Assist with the resident chaplaincy ministry through training, mentoring, and programming. Assist in developing strategies for spiritual formation for students to include but not limited to: worship, retreats, special offerings on prayer or disciplines, and vocational discernment. Engage with students in the work of mentoring, equipping leaders, and helping students come to know Jesus Christ or grow in their faith. Advise ministry groups as needed. Education: Master of Divinity degree or equivalent from an accredited seminary or university. Experience: Minimum of three years of experience working in a college setting with students or with students through the local church. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: The Intern must be a highly relational, people oriented minister with notable skills in visioning, worship leadership and Christian spiritual formation. He/she must also possess gifts in organization and administration. Complexity of Duties: Must be available as needed to serve University community to include regular office hours as well as nights and weekends. Flexibility and creativity are necessary to deal with student crises that arise. Types of Contacts : Must maintain regular and appropriate connect with the following: students, faculty and staff and the surrounding community.
