    Intern Athletic Trainer POSITION: INTERN, ATHLETIC TRAINER DEPARTMENT: ATHLETICS STATUS: PART TIME (Effective January 7, 2019 through May 31, 2019) Position Summary: The Athletic Department at Campbell University is seeking a highly qualified individual for an Intern Athletic Trainer position. Starting date is January 7, 2019 and will run through May 31, 2019. Position will include salaried stipend, payment of NATA annual dues, and NC state licensure fees. This position reports to the Director of Athletic Training, Head Athletic Trainer, and, at times, Assistant Athletic Trainer(s) and cooperates with the Director of Athletics and the Director of Sports Medicine. Intern assists in the preparation of regular reports on injuries and rehabilitation efforts and communicates regularly with head coaches on the status and condition of student-athletes. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: providing athletic training services to assigned sports teams and any other duties as assigned by Director of Athletic Training. Primary Areas of Responsibility: Prevention and Treatment of Athletically-Related Injuries Injury Rehabilitation Center and Athletic Training Room as assigned Clinical Instruction of Students in the Athletic Training Major Education/Experience: Bachelors Degree from CAATE-approved Athletic Training Education Program BOC Certification Current North Carolina state licensure or eligible for application. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Communicate effectively to all groups through both oral and written channels. Maintain strict confidentiality and attention to detail are essential. Demonstrate tact, a positive attitude, courtesy and discretion in dealing with trustees, faculty, staff, students, high-level university officials and the public. Work independently as well as function effectively in a team and within a diverse group of people. Exercise independent judgment in complex and new situations. Manage multiple, concurrent projects, and meet strict deadlines. Detail-oriented and willing to work in a changing environment. Other Information: Campbell University is a Division I institution located just south of Raleigh in Buies Creek, North Carolina. Our athletic department currently has 21 sports, including football. Campbell University offers a wide range of graduate and undergraduate majors, including the new additions of a Physicians Assistant program which started in 2011, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in August 2013, and Doctor of Physical Therapy in January 2014.
