SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:_ _
This position will support the daily finance activities related to the Cartonboard transformation project as well as the total capital program. The successful candidate will also partner with operations leadership to solve complex issues using comprehensive data & analysis. This position will support the entire capital program with data driven analysis, so the company can make sound investment decisions.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Assist the Cartonboard & Capital Operations groups in the preparation of budgets & forecasts
- Monitor & manage SAP data related to the project & all capital spending
- Support operations leaders and finance leaders in an analytical capacity
- Search for cost savings opportunities and ensure wasteful spending is not occurring
- Evaluate capital investment scenarios using ROI & NPV analysis
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for the project and all capital investments
- Always be prepared to deliver status updates on project activities and all capital expenditures
- Clearly communicate concerns and issues to the appropriate parties in a timely manner
- Create financial models to compare scenarios for sound investment decision making
- Prepare ad hoc presentations with advanced graphics when needed
- Participate, on non-routine special assignments as required
- Attend and contribute in meetings to establish Best Practices related to all capital spending
- Ensure data follows company’s data governance policies/procedures
- Ensure SOX controls are in place and strictly adhered to
Required Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Advanced Excel skills required
- SAP experience
- Experience with capital management systems & capital justification (ROI Analysis)
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 7+ years of relatable finance experience in a manufacturing environment
- A good understanding of standard costing in a manufacturing setting
- Extensive experience with capital justification/ROI analysis
