Education Services Intern Center for Health Innovation and Implementation Science IU School of Medicine - Indianapolis, IN $12 - $15 an hour - Full-time, Part-time, Internship Department Overview: The Center for Health Innovation and Implementation Science (CHIIS) is an innovative organization focused on transforming health care. CHIIS uses the Complex Adaptive System framework and the tools of Implementation Science to rapidly translate and implement high quality, cost-effective quality initiative solutions within local, national, and international health care systems. CHIIS offers its clients consulting and educational solutions to integrate evidence-based solutions into real-world practice. Primary Role: This is a long term, not seasonal, internship opportunity.In this role, the incumbent will utilize their knowledge of program development and strategic planning to refine and create standardize operating procedures for the Graduate Certificate program along with other training service line offerings. This internship will give the individual the opportunity to engage in project management and network with innovative health care executives leading the way in health care transformation. This is a long term, not seasonal, internship opportunity. In order to qualify for this internship opportunity, the incumbent MUST be available * Wednesday evenings from 7pm 8pm for weekly conference call (by phone) * One Saturday a month from 8am 5pm (in-person) * Work a maximumof 28 hours per week Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 60% Administrative Services: Maintains successful documentation of CHIIS education program meetings by capturing session content and placing all content into a comprehensive document (memo, minutes). Mandatory attendance is required on all Wednesday evening sessions (via conference call) from 7:00 pm until 8:00 pm and monthly Saturday residency sessions (in-person) from 8:00 am-5:00pm. Saturday session dates for the 2018-19 time frame are listed below: * September 15th, 2018 * October 21st * November 10th * December 15th * January 19th, 2019 * February 16th * March 16th * April 13th * May 18th * June 8th * July 13th * August 10th 35% Program Development: Takes the lead on drafting standardize operating procedures for CHIIS Graduate Certificate program and other training service lines. Attends all CHIIS short courses, Boot Camps, and Workshops as schedule permits. Accompanies CHIIS staff to meetings, local conferences, and networking events to develop a better understanding of the business of healthcare. 5% Other: Other duties as assigned.
